Hello my little ladies! In living my dream of being a 1950s housewife, I of course have a vegetable garden out back. Favorite thing to grow? Tomatoes! Maybe you're thinking "how boring". Not me. I believe my family has some of the best meals from August until October because of these perfect little red fruits. My man can't wait for caprese salad and homemade salsa. My daughter loves picking them, running them under the hose, then sinking her teeth into their juicy goodness before they ever have a chance to come inside. Everyone knows that a home grown tomato kicks a store bought tomato's rear! They are honestly like two different foods! However, because you should wait until the tomatoes are cherry lipstick red before you pick them, you also have to use them quickly. And if you plant as many tomato plants as I do, then you're gonna need a recipe that will use a lot, and can freeze easily. This pasta sauce recipe is perfect for accomplishing just that! Best part... you have loads of yummy, homemade goodness waiting in your freezer all winter long. Or, have it tonight for dinner. Your man will be delighted when the aromas of this meal tickles his nose when he comes home tonight. For an extra kick... put on some red lipstick and a super cute apron. Happy Cooking!
