Hi all my little ladies. I am going to try and live my dream.... a 1950s housewife. Okay, so some of you may want to know what might be so intriguing about being a 1950s housewife. Well, I'll tell you my theory of it. When I was in my late teens/early twenties, I wanted to be a powerful woman in the business world. No man was ever gonna tell me what to do or make my way in life. I didn't cook, clean, or dress appropriatley. I am woman...hear me roar!! As it turned out, I had a successful career and still did all that "womanly" stuff too. Totally unfair!!!! I have found myself wanting to raise the children, cook the meals, clean the house (let's face it, I'm better at it any way). Why pay half the bills too??? I want to wear bright red lipstick, flaunt my rear in chiffon dresses, and serve a beautiful meal to my family every day. Who ever said that was oppressive? Who decided that lifestyle was degrading to women? It's hard ass work! And a role that, in my opinion, is missed by many. So, I'm gonna reinvent it. Maybe in my own little world...but that's all that ever mattered to me. Follow along to see how it goes.
