I recently saw a bubble burlap wreath on Pinterest and loved it so much, I thought I'd give it a try. I found everything I needed to make the wreath at Micheal's and the total for the supplies was $44. At first blush, this is too high a price to pay for a DIY wreath. After I gasped at the annoyed gentleman behind the register (after all, it's not his fault that I'm impossibly cheap), I muttered a few words under my breath as I swiped my debit card in financial frustration. I know I could've put the stuff back and left the store $44 richer, but you're not taking in consideration my disorder. You see, once I have my mind set on something, especially a DIY project, I am consumed by the idea of it. Much like my disorder of cold days and desserts. (read my creme brulee tart tutorial) The project idea is almost as bad as a pair of dirty socks lying on the floor in the middle of the living room. How can the day go one until those GD socks are picked up and put where they belong???!!! Fortunately, I managed to make myself feel better about the splurge by convincing myself I could dress this wreath up for Fall/Thanksgiving, change it's flowers and ribbon and make it a Christmas wreath, then hang it somewhere pretty in my home making it a wall decor. DONE!! $44 for three different uses. I feel better now.
