Spectalur Spaghetti, In Under 30 Minutes!

"No man is lonely while eating spaghetti; it requires too much attention."

I usually put this tummy filling, soul comforting dish together on weeknights when time is fleeting yet stomachs are still hungry.  It's so so so easy and, like most Italian dishes, makes you feel slightly more worldly.

Here's What you'll need:
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil.
1 lb sweet Italian Turkey Sausage
Pinch of red pepper flakes
About 2/12 cups homemade pasta sauce (If you don't have any pre-made on hand...just buy your favorite jar of pasta sauce at the store.)
1 lb thick spaghetti
Lots of Shredded Parmesan cheese

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil...boil your pasta until al dente(still has a bit of a bite to it.)

Meanwhile, in a large saute pan over medium high heat, add the olive oil the then turkey sausage (casings removed.)  Begin to break it up with a wooden spoon until crumbly.

Saute until browned and cooked through and add your red pepper flakes.  Saute for another 30 seconds, or until the pepper flakes are fragrant.

Then carefully add your sauce to the pan and turn heat down to medium low.  Sir occasionally until pasta sauce is heated thoroughly.

Drain the pasta and add to the sausage and sauce mixture.  Toss the pasta in the sauce and continue to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.  The pasta will begin to absorb some of the sauce.
To plate, take a helping of the pasta in tongs and carefully place in a bowl or a plate while twirling the tongs to create a nice mound.  If you're like me, smother the top with lots of Parmesan.  If you're not like me...do what you like...but I think you're missing out.

Enjoy!
